(Pienso que un pintor debe saber hacer paisajes, nubes, montañas, rocas, pastos, árboles, sembradíos, lomas, playas, olas, mar, riachos, badenes, tierra húmeda y seca, sequías y desiertos, tormentas, vientos, crepúsculos, amaneceres y las variadas inclinaciones de luz natural sobre el paisaje que se quieran. También debe saber hacer rostros, narices, pómulos, la humedad de los ojos, luces de las miradas, labios, expresiones, cabellos, ropajes. El desnudo, las blancuras y las tersuras, los vaivenes de mediotonos que hacen a las musculaturas tensas y flácidas. Fondos, cortinados, alfombras, caireles, ambientes. Monumentos. Representar la copia de esculturas y paisajes citadinos) Un pintor debe pintarlo todo. Debe ser figurativo y abstracto, expresivo y abandonado; debe manejarse con los pinceles como si estuviese caminando dentro de cada tela. Aún así, tendrá deudas consigo mismo, miles. Yo, por ejemplo, me debía una vista de La Boca. Aprovecho una composición "en patch". Estoy en eso...
